The Skull of the Purest (artifact)
This novel is a short story written by notably insane Aversarian Magi Vios Valon who claimed to have found the skull of the Purest themself and to have seen unspeakable horrors and images by using it to divine the past. Vios Valon claimed the skull was not human, or even of lesser blood like all non-Aversarians, but of an entirely alien species. One that only thirsted for power, blood, and decadence, and who enslaved all Aversarians and would again.
Nonsense, of course.
