Usually the result of a Magical catastrophe, recent or ancient, they usually have virtually no low tier game, are universally Barren, and usually come with a whole plethora of environmental hazards. A casual hunter will not find anything of interest here, and even most Monster Slayers shun these places, but the existence of some of the most dangerous quarry in the world still attracts the most experienced and foolhardy...
