Circle of a Thousand Heroes (building)
A feature of many a pilgrimage across the isles, the Circle of a Thousand Heroes is a common name for the vast religious complex in the northern hills of Abdsini, home to over a thousand pillars raised across the landscape. Each of them represents one of the many legendary figures from the multitude of hero cults and ancient faiths to which the isles are home, or - in some cases - from myths of surprisingly distant shores. The local disciples of the Favoured are known to return from their long pilgrimages with stories of great men and women, which then are immortalized by the raising of a new pillar, dedicated to an often distorted representation of the now venerated hero.
