Nāgóm Kakezihī (building)
To those beyond its confines, the Nāgóm Kakezihī is an impregnable fortress, a towering wall stretching from end to end of the mountain pass it guards. Created long ago by the Adabyssians, it has stood for as long as can be remembered, a symbol of their might, denying the people of the north access to their lands.
Not so, to the Adabyssians, to whom the grand fortress is merely a ramshackle encampment, its unbroken walls nothing more than hastily-erected palisades, its guards bored soldiers sent to the least desired posting in the Empire. It is nothing more than a necessity, a place where new recruits can be sent for training, isolated as a sole piece of civilization among the savages. Though multiple pushes to strengthen its defenses or improve amenities at the fort have been made by its varied commanders, none have succeeded, with such a backwater camp being seen as a waste of money and effort to develop.
