With the decline in Damotan trade following the Etami Tetenik. the Sonas Sikelenīzi has experienced a period of decline, with several ancient sections of the structure having never been replaced, instead allowed to drift away downstream. The bureaucracy, too, has declined tremendously, and only continues to exist out of sheer necessity and inertia.
