The The El Qulatha Medicinal University has grown to become a full city within itself, over two dozen increasingly massive facilities surrounded by a wall staffed with only the most professional mercenaries. The grim demeanors of the guards are highly contrasted by the hundreds of Surgeon-Magi who swarm the courtyards and concourses of the facility throughout the day, from pasty faced acolytes to imperious surgeons so famous, so respected and wealthy to be considered nobles in their own right despite any low birth.
The commoners of El Qulatha have long now began to resent the many physicians and their quasi-palaces, seeing it as yet another institution taxing away their meager earnings and exerting undue influence political institution.
