Tower of the Golden Seekers (building)

The Tower of the Golden Seekers is a fortress built by the ancient Kalathipsomians before the first century using magical runes to enchant its walls. The only way to actually access the fortress proper is through a series of caverns and halls beneath the cliff the fortress sits on. The caverns are of a completely different make to the Tower and predate history, with some theorizing that they may lead to the Mayikrata underground.

In the 7th century, earned both name and fame when the Chevalien knightly order of the 'Laysister's of the Golden Seeker, Waysaint Ranos' who chaptered upon the island, found themselves under siege by Aversarian invaders in one of the climactic battles of the Marcher-Aversarian Wars. The Sisters alonside the locals would hold off a massive Aversarian force for over six years before finally succumbing to starvation. While the defenders would be declared Waysaints and the Island populated by Marchers, it nonetheless remained conquered. The loss, however remembered, was a grim shock to the then (pretender) High King Guidmonde and made his ambitions to secure the north bank of the Pathos River impossible, effectively ending the wars.
