The Ushbiliyya (clique)
A Tusuffna lodge of somewhat ill-repute among the upper classes of the Republic, the Ushbiliyya have been periodically accused of radicalism and driven underground, though they always seem to spring back the moment the pressure is off. Their membership is composed largely of smaller artisans, non-citizen residents unable to afford a place among the New Families, and magistrates and lower court judges snubbed by the Judicial Councils. They believe that they alone now hold onto the true spirit of the original Tel Merrha uprising, and if they had their way they would sweep their competition aside in a welter of vengeful bloodshed. Then with the Republic united in purpose once again, they would lead a crusade of vengeance against the Tathtalite tyrants, and usher the Wardenites into a new age of freedom.
