Blood (concept)
Traditionally understood as the admixture of volatile Fire and ever-flowing Water, Continental philosophy holds that Blood is the imposition of the self-volition inherent in Fire upon the eternal and ever-changing nature of Water, thus creating the energies necessary for animal and human life. It is associated both with the healing arts and the vile trade of the poisoner. More infamously, Blood magic can unspool the potential energy held within all living things, lending great and terrible power to the rituals of sacrifice commonly practiced by Magi.
