Kathanouxaic Empire (concept)
Named after its founder, the Kathanouxaic Empire ruled over much of Kalathipsomi in the centuries before the birth of Aversaria, and one of the first in recorded history to do so. The Empire was governed by a council of Magi called the Regents, all of whom answering to the Wizard King Kathanouxa himself. Predominantly agrarian, and with few large cities to its credit, the Empire was nonetheless tightly organized and possessed a sophisticated culture renowned for its architectural prowess. Though most lie in ruins, a few of the civilizations' greatest wonders still stand, such as the infamous Tower of the Wizard King. According to archaeological records, the fall of the Kathanouxaic civilization was sudden and devastating, almost apocalyptic in nature, as attested by the few remaining cultural evidence left to tell of its very existence.
