Necromancy (concept)
Necromancy is any form of Magic that interacts with (and often controls) the dead. It comes in three forms: Blood Necromancy, Dark Necromancy, and Ethereal Necromancy. Each type of Necromancy is associated with different School of Magic.
Necromancy is generally looked down upon in parts of the world, though how exactly it is treated depends on the individual culture. Lichdom is detested in most of the living world however, mostly because of the insane amounts of power a Lich can gather over a life, and the threat they pose to all around them.
