Runic Script (concept)
Runic scripts are writing systems of unknown, prehistoric origin that have been noted for their utility in Magic; most rituals can be 'translated' into a runic form that is not only far more compact and less error-prone than describing the process through a mundane script, but the physical presence of the resulting text during the performance of the spell in question also increases its intensity.
There are thought to be dozens of runic writing systems in existence, though only a few have been even partly deciphered.
