Aguadosian (culture)
Though most cultures of the Isles consider sailing important, to the Aguadosi it is the centrepiece of their life. Considering the sea rather than the islands they inhabit to be their true homeland, they traverse the oceans of Aeras on light-weight ships called karteiman. Most of their land is held in common, pieces of it only given away in recognition of great deeds, and even then usually just for one lifetime. True estates of the Aguadosi are fleets serving the noble families, which, in days before Frodbrokna, could be seen as far away as Kathun-Kai and southern Sarradon. While they do facilitate some transcontinental trade, their low capacity for cargo makes them more suited for protecting and guiding larger vessles, a service they readily offer to great rulers and merchant guilds.
