Anorlori (culture)
Despite their position at the fringes of the Shattered Isles, the Anorlori have fostered a strong reputation for their foreign adventurism and heroic deeds. The aspiring youth of the Anorlori home isles are known to travel far and wide, seeking fame and glory, often leaving strong impressions on local islanders. The most prestigious nobles of the Anorlori home isles traditionally exile their second sons, sending them abroad to find their way amongst the foreigners of the isles. Anorlori scholars trace this tradition to a renowned last stand in the north alongside a now-deified Chevalien hero, inspiring a sense of communal responsibility for the greater Isles.
Whether it be tales of heroism or a page in the history books for an ill-fated attempt at unification, many famous Anorlori exiles have found themselves deified in the vast pantheons of the isles for their deeds in life. For most foreign travellers of the Anorlori however, their long journeys will one day lead them home, returning to their humble isles for labour and love.
