Babura (culture)
The Babura are the people of the arid, hilly Babur valley in the interior of the 'Erd Lakhdir. Though largely considered Saradari, they are in reality the result of the gradual intermingling of Ayyar settlers and the Sarradonian natives, forming a culture that, while still predominantly Ayyar, integrates several local traditions. Finding common ground with their shared history of nomadism, they represent in some ways the meeting point between not only the Saradari and Kosharans, but between the urbanized Ayyar heartland and the rural, traditionalist highlands.
Due to the subpar agricultural potential of the region, they have largely stuck to the traditional ways of pastoralism. In addition, combining the mercenary traditions of both peoples, they are regarded as the source of some of the Liraaj's most skilled warriors, many receiving training from a young age in combat techniques practiced since the murky depths of the region's past.
Ironically, despite their status as a combination of cultures, they are staunchly traditionalist, and have revolted against Sheyarlahira multiple times for daring to disrupt their way of life.
