Zelkavani (culture)
Native to the sandy beaches of the aptly named Sea of Glass, the Zelkavani are proficient glass makers - a holdover from their Sunarwei roots, where tradition held that the practice was a sort of natural spell to reform Kumhant, fostering their ravenous obsession with material. Although the craft primarily grew widespread due to its connections with the Sunarwei creed, over time its religious connotations paradoxically declined in importance, and nowadays mastery of the art has become ingrained as a largely secular aspect of the culture. Of course, the fact that it was also quite profitable helped a fair bit in bolstering its popularity. The Zelkavani made everything from vases, jugs, bowls, mirrors to even decorative glass planes and sculptures, selling them far and wide for a wealthy sum. This has also led to some natives migrating slightly inland near their more profitable customers.
A well known custom in their culture is making sculptures of their loved ones; it is said that many of their kin propose to their kindred by sculpting a beautiful glass sculpture of quality so pure it gleams in the radiant sun.
