My father, bless be his name if not his soul, has always been... headstrong. Unable to accept a 'no' and always paranoid and suspicious of his court. Even when he was but a minor count, and now even more so that he is the so called 'High King of the Isles and all the Seas of the Rightful Empire'.
The truth is that my father is a madman. Incapable to rule, even more incapable to lead. Perhaps this is a revelation of the last few decades, perhaps he's always been this way. I do not know. I tried to do my duty once with the coward mercenary Kekropi, and thanks to the drunken fool Ulfirx that's failed. So now we must do this the hard way, the regretful way. My father must be stopped, and it must be me who does it.
