Across the Lake (event)
Character: Duke Aderi Zelan of Yenusaawi Boqtada
Under the Boqqars, my ancestors were favored, having commanded the Yenusaawi Boqtada for the duration of the Zalreb Dynasty's reign. They were loyal guards, granted great power and luxury for their service. This was their right by birth, our line having sworn to serve for generations. But when the Boqqarut came crashing down with the death of Kayoba, my forefathers fled the capital, taking the remnants of the guard with them. Over the centuries of chaos, we have continued to fly the old banners of Damota, for we are the last legitimate claimants to its legacy. And despite our righteous claims, we are reduced to staring at our birthright, the once-shining city of The Metropolis of Zahali across the lake, now reduced to a decrepit ruin that mirrors our own pitiful state.
This ends with me. I am the rightful heir, not merely to the guard, but to the Boqqarut itself. All will bow before my might, and the masses will sing my praises as the restorer of Damota. Under my gaze, Zahali will rise in all its splendor once more, and none will dare challenge my glorious reign. History will gaze upon me, and know that Damota never truly fell!
Onwards! Zahali awaits!
