Ever since I was a child, I have learned of the long decline of my people. From the great Magi-Judges of old, respected by even the haughty Ritualists as the rulers of a proud people, to the fractious fiefdoms left to fight over the interior of Kharadamat while the War in Heaven raged around us, to the countless uprisings crushed beneath the Tower or the Key. But I also learned that it was not always this way.
The oldest texts of Hubarism refer an empire to rival Sarradon, illuminating all who gazed upon it. And though all around me dismiss those stories as mere fables, I know the truth. The Great Sun still shines over these lands, and now, as war rages around us, what greater time could there be to rise once more from darkness?
Let the Aversarians and Sarradonians tremble, for I speak of a realm older than either of theirs. Let the world be bathed in golden light, and let the Magi-Judges once more administer divine justice across its breadth. Let all Kharadamat, more even, praise Shamsah as in bygone days. Let all this world's usurpers and heathens know again the ancient, forgotten name...
