The Draneti have served Aversaria for many moons, and have always held a place of privilege amongst the slave classes of Amaghea. Now that our old masters are no more, and the Charchac Revolt is nought but ashes, my advisors have... forced my hand and brought about a 'new era' for my people. We are to be independent, so they say, and I am to be our ruler.
I have tended the libraries of plantations all my life, as my forefathers did before me, and now I am the ruler of domains too vast to comprehend. I have freed the Draneti, and I am told the shaking in my knees will stop eventually. I am the master of my own fate... well, perhaps not the master, but no longer a slave.
I was born a slave, but I will die free. My... friends have seen to that.
