Oath of an Archexir (event)

Those damned fools!
The mainland is in chaos, and they just want to kill each other, bleeding the Archexate dry fighting over abandoned plantations in the name of extinct noble lines.
Can't they see? We might soon be all that's left of the Empire! Already the slaves plot another uprising, no doubt coordinating with the Witch-Breaker. And their vanguard has already landed unopposed! But the nobles have destroyed themselves in their rebellions, and their Legions have fallen to desire, either for gold or for blood. Only central Leidokos and a small sliver of Vonatos are under the righteous order of the Archexate. All the rest is lost to the unending warfare that's ravaged these islands since the Civil War!
But I shall still do my duty. I will stand, as my father and grandfather before me, as the bastion of Imperial civilization in this broken world. I shall be the shield against the butchers, bandits, and barbarians that will bring Krehejad to ruin. If the slave rebellions were crushed, if Aeschraes' invasion was turned back, than these traitor Legons and barbarian invaders shall be eradicated. For I am the Archexir of Krehejad.
And I swear that these islands shall not fall.
