Two dozen princes take up arms in the Amsari Hiklahn, turning the Prophet's dream of a unified Amsar into a nightmare as kin turns against kin. With weakness in the Hiklahn comes strength from their old enemies, as the Kemsari unite under the warlord Henutaht. Meanwhile, in the lands formerly held by the Mamur of the West the Ayyar's triumphant arrival seems poised to finally reunite the region, bringing an end to a half century of anarchy.
