Candamārun Academy, short for the Havōkkēndra Candamārun Academy of Polyarcanology and Meteorological Sciences, is a prestigious university and weather station located on the Kashiryan Gulf. Initially an outpost for studying the Rogue Storm Gudugwrāt, the outpost was catapulted into relevancy after the discovery of Wrātcrystals.
Astronomer, mathematician, and astrologer Havōkkēndra Candamārun developed the lightning rod, shielding coastal cities from the worst of the lightning strikes and allowing trade to flourish in the Kashiryan Gulf. Later innovations include the thermoscope and the Tarakṣā Kava, an electrically resistant suit of armor that halved casualties during expeditions.
