Quartz House of Ysanda (building)

Next: Glass House of Ysanda

Glassmaking has long been the lifeblood of the Ysandic industry—first as vessels, beads, and small statues crafted from pigmented sintered quartz, and later through the famed glass masterworks of Zelkavani craftspeople. While decentralized petty workshops were the norm while the craft was still in its infancy, in 237 IS concerns over technique secrecy, fire hazards, and foul odors led to the relocation of all disparate glassworks to a dedicated district of the city for safety, where the entire industry was consolidated into a single enormous building meant to house all the workshops for centuries to come.
