Zhaên (concept)
Zhaên, or Divine Bronze, is a magical alloy produced in Kathun-Kai. Boasting physical capabilities exceeding even that of steel, the metal is also said to possess healing properties when ingested or used as a component in potions (and even rumored to be the base ingredient for the mythical Elixir of Life).
The method of producing Zhaên is a closely-guarded secret of the Kathuni, and every blacksmith and alchemist working on the metal are said to bound by a curse that shall inflict death should they even think of disclosing its secrets. Banwagul scholars have long contested this assertion however, claiming that the formula was stolen from the great blacksmith Puyem, which has resulted in several wars and rebellions over the years.
