Aarif, Prince of the Nizarids (event)
Character: King Aarif ibn Nazirid of Dhahidah
I am Aarif, son of Yazid, who was son of Badr. Each of these men served the righteous Mamuramat dutifully. We have sacrificed much in loyal service, and been rewarded handsomely.
And now it is my turn to serve. Were I a lesser man I would do as my father did and rest content in our family's wealth and lands. But I am no fool, I can see the shadows gathering around every corner. Adabyn is old, and his mistakes have left the united Mamuramat weaker than it has been since the dark days of The Downfall, before Tathtali slew his father, the mad Mamur Yussar and wove a new order out of chaos. Not only do we face invasion from the piggish Aversarians, but now even the horrid Marchers circle like vultures.
Though Adabyn may rule, it is becoming increasingly clear that the stability of the Mamuramat rests on my shoulders alone. Shall I save the Muhaddads from their folly? Or shall I leave them to their ruin and strike out to save the faith of the First Warden on my own?
