With Silas Stavro surely destroyed forever at the hands of The Champion, Chevalie is caught in a standoff, with the competing claimants either dead or discredited, with all seeing the need for reunification in the face of such devastation. Aversaria proceeds onwards under the reign of Nothyx, and the empire looks forward to a new era of prosperity. In Sarradon, however, the Amsari Hikhlan is rent apart by fraternal strife, and Wardenites launch a great campaign in the far east.
