Belar Dynasty (concept)
Rising in 667 IS under Raloka, often considered the last great Boqqar due to the grand works constructed during his reign, the Belars came to power due partly to support from the rapidly-transforming Rayakuux Orders. Under Raloka's watch, the city of Zahali was transformed and expanded, in addition to a number of monuments and temples constructed across Damota. Of course, his most impressive accomplishment was the construction of the Betami Deqiira, a vast roadway connecting the far ends of the Boqqarut's territories, which rapidly became a key artery of Damotan trade. However, his rise to power was also accompanied by the creation of the Yarkiyēt System, and a drastic expansion of the power afforded to the Rayakuux Orders. Upon his death in 712 IS, the throne passed to his heir, Boqqar Hijal, who would have to face the price of his father's lavish expenditures and devolution of authority.
In an attempt to pay for these debts, Hijal granted yet more extensive privileges to the newly-split Lodges while expanding the Yarkiyēts and cutting back on spending. While this balancing act was successful at keeping him on the throne, it would trigger the Wars of Silence, bogging the state down in attempts to keep order over regions which had been part of the empire for centuries. When Hijal died in 743 IS, a Third Tetenik ensued as a result of the chaos, with the Belars being replaced with the Zalreb Dynasty, who would inherit an ailing state.
